Career to date: After working in Zagreb Clinical Hospital Centre from 1996 to 2005, Dr Macolić Šarinić joined the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices as Head of the Division for Pharmacovigilance, Drug Consumption and Rational Pharmacotherapy. She has been Head of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices since December 2011. Dr Macolić Šarinić is also the president of the Committee of Experts on the Classification of Medicines as regards their Supply (CD-P-PH/PHO), delegate in the field of EudraVigilance before the European Medicines Agency and external expert of the World Health Organisation in the pharmacovigilance area. Her field of expertise is pharmacovigilance in which she has been active more than 20 years, and today she is also the Croatian PRAC delegate in EMA. She held more than 50 invited lectures in the fields of pharmacovigilance, pharmacoeconomics and clinical pharmacology.
